If the Ethernet cable (that was connected to the soundbar) is on the same network as your device running the SoundTouch app, you can reconnect it to the soundbar after it appears in the app.
Putting a system into Setup mode
Entering Setup mode lets you connect a device to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the Bose system. This is useful for system set up and diagnostics.
To enter Setup mode:
- If an Ethernet cable is connected to the back of the soundbar, disconnect it.
- Turn the soundbar on to the SoundTouch source
by pressing the SoundTouch button on the remote control.
- Press-and-hold the 9 button until all the lights on the soundbar flash.
The Wi-Fi status indicator light on the soundbar will illuminate and glow amber while in Setup mode.
If the Ethernet cable (that was connected to the soundbar) is on the same network as your device running the SoundTouch app, you can reconnect it to the soundbar after it appears in the app.

If a Bose app or instructions ask you to put your system in Setup mode:
- If an Ethernet cable is connected to the soundbar, disconnect it
- On the remote control, simultaneously press and hold the TV icon and Skip Back buttons for five seconds until he light bar on the soundbar glows amber
- For next steps, refer to the Bose app or instructions that asked you to enter Setup mode.
