If the Ethernet cable (that was connected to the adapter) is on the same network as your device running the SoundTouch app, you can reconnect it to the adapter after it appears in the app.
Putting a system into Setup mode
Entering Setup mode lets you connect a device to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the Bose system. This is useful for system set up and diagnostics.
To enter Setup mode:
- If an Ethernet cable is connected to the back of the SoundTouch adapter, disconnect it.
- On the back of the adapter, press-and-hold the Control button for about 10 seconds.
- Release the button when the Wi-Fi status indicator light next to the Control button flashes once then glows amber.
The Wi-Fi status indicator light will glow amber while in Setup mode.
