Unable to create a group of speakers in the Bose app

Related error codes: C3-SC3004
If you cannot create a speaker group with other Bose smart speakers or soundbars, of if you get an error message that the grouping feature is not supported, try the following:

Be sure the software of all Bose systems are up-to-date.

Check the software version of each Bose system. If any system is not running the latest version, update it. For more info, see Checking the software or firmware version and Updating the software or firmware of your product.

Check if the speakers you want to group can each be controlled in the Bose app.

To group speakers, each must all be available on your Bose account. To check if they are, try to control each speaker from the app (i.e. adjust the speaker volume). If the app does not show a speaker or indicates it is not available, add that speaker to your account. For more info see, Setting up your product.

Reset your product.

Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more info, see Resetting your product.

Reboot the device running the Bose app.

Electronics might need to be rebooted from time to time to correct minor issues. This is typically done by powering off the device completely and then powering it back on again.

Uninstall and reinstall the Bose app.

In case an issue occurred with the app, uninstall it from your device, download and reinstall it, then try again.
