Connecting a Bluetooth device using the Bose app

Find out how to use the Bose app to wirelessly pair your product to a Bluetooth device, like a smartphone or computer. This lets you control the sound you hear from your product.

Use an Android or Apple mobile device to set up your hearing aids.

Bluetooth® is used to connect your product to the Bose Hear app so you can adjust product settings. This Bluetooth connection does not support phone calls and media playback.
  1. Turn on Bluetooth in the device settings
  2. Install the batteries in your hearing aids
Tip: If inserting new batteries, place batteries in both hearing aids, peel off the stickers on the batteries, and leave the battery doors open for 5 minutes. This allows the zinc-air batteries to activate, which maximizes battery life
  3. Open the Bose Hear app
Tip: If you don't have the app, you can install it for free from Google Play or the Apple Apple Store
  4. Follow the app instructions to connect your hearing aids.
After you connect to the Bose Hear app, you can open the app at any time to adjust product settings—like ear balance, sound focus, product name, and more.
To use the app, just be sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the batteries are installed in your hearing aids.

If you are unable to connect a Bluetooth device, try our troubleshooting suggestions.
